Historic architecture waits to be discovered!

If you are feeling more adventurous, a short hike up the mountain will lead you to the historic, 5 arched train bridge engineered by Evaristo de Chirico, father of renowned, Volos born artist Giorgio de Chirico.

This bridge used to serve the renowned Train of Pelion during the days when it used to carry people back and forth from Volos to the various mountain villages. Nowadays the train's job is merely to provide a lovely journey through Pelion and runs only once every weekend.

While the sight of the architectural perfection of the bridge alone is enough to take one's breath away, the view of the bay from that altitude makes the climb an even worthier experience.
